Fall Home Maintenance & Storm Preparedness

As we transition into fall, we want to share a few simple reminders to help keep your home comfortable, safe, and prepared for changing weather.

Fall Home Maintenance

Cooler temperatures will be here soon, so now is a great time to make sure everything in your home is ready.

A few things to check:

  • Test your heating system before you need it.

  • Make sure heating vents and air returns are not blocked by furniture or belongings.

  • Replace your HVAC filters.

  • Check windows and doors for unusual drafts or damage.

  • Report any leaks, water stains, or signs of water intrusion.

Prepare for Storm Season

Fall can still bring strong storms, heavy rain, and high winds. A few simple precautions can help protect your home and property.

Before a storm:

  • Secure or bring inside patio furniture, decorations, plants, and other loose outdoor items.

  • Keep balconies, porches, and walkways clear of loose objects.

  • Make sure trash and recycling containers are properly secured.

  • Keep flashlights and other emergency supplies accessible.

  • Charge your phone if severe weather is expected.

  • Report roof leaks, water intrusion, or storm-related damage to management as soon as possible.
