Fall Home Maintenance & Storm Preparedness
As we transition into fall, we want to share a few simple reminders to help keep your home comfortable, safe, and prepared for changing weather.
Fall Home Maintenance
Cooler temperatures will be here soon, so now is a great time to make sure everything in your home is ready.
A few things to check:
Test your heating system before you need it.
Make sure heating vents and air returns are not blocked by furniture or belongings.
Replace your HVAC filters.
Check windows and doors for unusual drafts or damage.
Report any leaks, water stains, or signs of water intrusion.
Prepare for Storm Season
Fall can still bring strong storms, heavy rain, and high winds. A few simple precautions can help protect your home and property.
Before a storm:
Secure or bring inside patio furniture, decorations, plants, and other loose outdoor items.
Keep balconies, porches, and walkways clear of loose objects.
Make sure trash and recycling containers are properly secured.
Keep flashlights and other emergency supplies accessible.
Charge your phone if severe weather is expected.
Report roof leaks, water intrusion, or storm-related damage to management as soon as possible.
